AN ANGEL OF THE LORD APPEARED

An Angel of the Lord appeared

My child I heard you pray,

Just tell to me what your problem is

I’ll help in any way.

I cannot see my way ahead

I cannot find the light,

I do not know which way to walk

Or what path for me is right.

My days all seem so dark and drear,

Forgive me if I mope.

When all around seems hopeless

Its hard to find some hope.

The Angel of the Lord he said

But you do not walk alone,

Just share with me your problems

And soon you’ll find them gone.

I now talk to my Angel

And share with him each day,

All the troubles and joys I have

When I kneel down and pray.

AN ANGEL VISITED ME LAST NIGHT

An Angel visited me last night,

She filled my room with light

I gazed at her in wonder

It was a glorious sight.

Why have you come to visit me

And I heard her gently say,

You have walked the spirit way of life

And I walk with you each day.

But you are not alone my child,

To have an Angel by your side,

Everyone who walks the mortal path

All have a spirit guide.

Each has a Guardian Angel

To guide them on their way.

Someone to walk beside them

As they travel each long day.

To show them how to do their best

To prove to all their worth.

To use each day as well as they can

And not waste their time on earth.

You all have lessons you must learn

Before returning home once more.

To join with all the others

Who have walked this way before.

So you too could have an Angel

Who might visit you tonight

Calling unexpectedly

To fill your room with light.

I HAVE A TALE THAT MUST BE TOLD

I have a tale that must be told

Said an Angel in a gown of gold,

I have to tell you this very night

That everyone must be given the right.

To understand that they all live on

It is only the body that has gone.

Its only a shell that has done its task

There’ s nothing more that we can ask.

Its our soul you see that never dies

I do not come here telling lies,

But many on your land they doubt

There are many of them round about.

But to teach the truth there is a way

And all we ask is that every day

You speak to another and gently say

I wish to help, to show you the way

To join with the others who all believe

That when loved ones pass, they do not leave

They only move on through an open door

And they can still see us evermore.

They smile on us and send us love

From that glorious Kingdom of Heaven above

So take this tale that I have told

Speak to the young and to the old.

Then someday in the future, all can understand

That when we die, we all move on, to this other land.

MIRROR, MIRROR ON THE WALL

Mirror, mirror on the wall,

Who is the fairest of them all,

As your reflection comes in to view,

What do you see looking back at you.

A face full of frowns and a wrinkled brow,

I’ll have to get through this day somehow.

Why does everything happen to me

When everyone else gets off scot free.

Another scowl and a comb through my hair

Why should I bother, no one will care.

I have a quick shower, now what will I wear,

Back into my room and across to the chair.

Lying there is a feather so white,

A gift from an Angel during the night.

Someone cares, I am not on my own

Suddenly I don’ t seem quite so alone.

I glance in my mirror what do I see

A lovely smile shining back at me.

And all of a sudden I am aware

That my Angel walks with me everywhere.

AN ANGEL VISITED ME ONE NIGHT.

An Angel visited me one night,

She was a vision of shining light.

I couldn’t believe what I could see

And asked her why she came to me.

“ We Angels all have many tasks

And come to anyone who asks.

When you say your prayers each day

We always listen to what you say.”

“ You ask for help for those in need,

Those who hunger, you ask we feed,

You ask that minds and bodies mend

And love to all you ask we send.”

“ Give hope to those who live in fear,

To those who feel no one is near.

Give comfort to the ones who grieve,

Show their loved ones never leave.”

“ I come to thank you for your prayers,

Of concerns for others that you share.

To thank you for your words of love,

When you ask for help from up above.”

“ As many on this mortal soil

Do not care if others toil.

They do not look around and see,

Their daily cry is , me, me, me.”

“If all could change their point of view,

Caring for others, just like you,

This world would be a better place,

With contented smiles on every face.”

I know that when I talk to him

He listens to what I say.

And problems that I maybe have,

He helps to take away.
